The Eastern Produce Council has cancelled its April 7 TopGolf event, which was to be sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.

"Most importantly, I hope you and your families are doing well under these unreal circumstances," Executive Director Susan McAleavey Sarlund said in a message to members. "Our world and the restrictions put in place around the coronavirus (COVID-19) have changed dramatically these past few days."

The council said it would send updates about future EPC events.

"We look forward to being together as a produce community," said Sarlund. "In the meantime, on behalf of the officers and directors of the council, stay safe and be well."
