With the vision of bringing together the global produce and floral community to grow a healthier world, the COVID-19 outbreak brings about unique challenges for the Produce Marketing Association. Out of concern for its members and the industry as a whole, PMA is postponing events through May 1, specifically PMA Fresh Connections: Retail and CGT Women's Fresh Perspectives Conferences.

PMA Fresh Connections: Retail was scheduled to take place March 25-26 in Philadelphia, and CGT Women's Fresh Perspectives Conference was to take place April 26-27 in San Antonio, TX.
"We are continuously monitoring the development of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and will utilize all available resources to guide our decisions regarding future PMA and CGT events," the satement said.
PMA is actively consulting the resources and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control, The World Health Organization and the Food and Drug Administration. It is using these guiding resources as it formulates decisions for events and programs, as well as to determine the most accurate and science-based information that is relevant to PMA members.
