Concord Foods, well known for being a premier provider of produce companion products, recently announced it has expanded its partnership with Chiquita with a second product, the Chiquita Banana Pop Kit. This new offering was created as a way for grocery retailers’ produce departments to capitalize on the continued increase in shopper demand for premium, clean label snack products.

The Chiquita Banana Pop Kit makes delicious chocolate banana pops, as well as dipped fruit such as chocolate dipped strawberries and pineapple slices. It is made with real dark chocolate and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Each kit can make eight banana pops and includes a pouch of chocolate and wooden sticks. Consumers must purchase four fresh bananas or their fruit of choice.

“The Chiquita Banana Pop Kit is ideal for merchandising with bananas in produce departments as each kit will also sell four bananas. We have plans for increased cross promotion during key sales periods such as Memorial Day and July 4th,” added McCaul.
