Ontario, OR, onion grower Trevor Frahm, principal in the family-owned-and-operated Frahm-Fresh Produce, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, in a farming accident. He was 42.
Mr. Frahm is survived by his wife, Krista; four children; his parents, Rod and Launa Frahm; and siblings.
According to a report released by the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, the accident was reported at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, and occurred in an area north of Nyssa, OR. Local media reported that multiple agencies, including fire department rescue personnel from Nyssa and Ontario along with Treasure Valley Paramedics, responded to the accident site to assist. Mr. Frahm died at the scene.
Mr. Frahm was sales manager for Frahm-Fresh, working with his parents and his brother, Spencer. The family operation was started in 1927 by Mr. Frahm’s grandfather, and over the course of three generations it evolved into today’s growing-packing-shipping business.
