The move comes in response to the increased purchasing of Brussels sprouts for foodservice applications, leading the Gold Coast team to seize an opportunity to capitalize on the trend and offer chefs a more convenient way to prepare the trending dish.

The new products launched this spring in anticipation of the upcoming fall and holiday season, which is not only a peak season for Brussels sprouts, but also a busy time for those preparing the food. As this vegetable is moving toward the center of the plate rather than only a complementary side, restaurants see the value in a pre-cut produce to allow more creative time in the kitchen.

The Brussels sprouts are offered in whole, halved and shredded Foodservice packs available in a 2x5 or 4x5 pound pack. Gold Coast has plans to expand this product to retail packages as demand for these items increase.
