George Harter, vice president of marketing for CMI Orchards, said the company introduced its American Dream promotion to retailers at PMA in October 2018. “We are eager to work with our customers to set up promotions in alignment with key holiday events this summer,” he said. “We truly feel that this program will positively resonate with shoppers and help drive summer sales.

“We had a dream to celebrate and inspire Americans across the nation. We created this apple label to show our solidarity and support of military families, veterans, and patriots of our great nation,” Harter said. “With Memorial Day and Independence Day fast approaching, and Veteran’s Day aligning with new crop apples in the fall, there are some huge opportunities for retailers to get behind this feel-good program, give back to their communities and stir up excitement in-store.

The specialty carton can be packed with any conventional apples CMI sells.
