Concord Foods, well known for being a premier provider of produce companion products, announced its new chocolate dip snack pack under the Simply Concord brand. This new offering was created in response to a significant increase in shopper demand for clean label and on-the-go snack products, as well as a way for the produce department to capitalize on that heightened interest.Jennifer-Seeley-HeadshotJennifer Seeley

“We are constantly looking to be on the leading edge of innovation,” said Samantha McCaul, marketing manager at Concord Foods. “Shopper interest in healthier snack options continues to grow and we’re thrilled to introduce this new chocolate dip snack pack as an ideal companion to fruit for school, work, and convenient snacking.”

Concord has experienced exponential growth of its dipping chocolate, with a 400 percent sales increase since last year. Demand continues to be driven for this product as it is popular year-round and an important part of bolstering produce department purchases, especially for berries. The new snack packs will further drive companion sales by tapping into the trending interest for portable snacking options.

“Retailers have found our dipping chocolate to be a complimentary part of displays during strawberry season, and we have plans for increased cross promotion during spring events such as Easter and Mother’s Day,” said McCaul.

Furthermore, as one of the largest producers of caramel in the United States, Concord reported that demand for its other fruit dips is skyrocketing with a 200 percent increase in sales growth for its Simply Concord Caramel dip and a 615 percent increase in its Organic Caramel within the last year. Shoppers appreciate that the brand’s fruit dips meet so many of their health-conscious needs and are made with a short list of recognizable ingredients, contain no high-fructose corn syrup, and are non-GMO.

Concord invites SEPC attendees to booth No. 810 on March 9 to welcome Jennifer Seeley as the new vice president of sales and marketing for the Concord Retail Division, and have a first look at the new chocolate snack pack. Attendees will also be able to see the brand’s other latest products including its freeze dried veggie snacks and updated lemon and lime juice packaging.

The chocolate dip snack packs come in packs of six (12 units in a case) and retailers are encouraged to book orders now with the Concord sales team at 508/580-1700.
