Great Place to Work and Fortune have ranked Wegmans No. 1 on the list of the 2018 Best Workplaces in Retail. This year Publix Super Markets moved up to No. 2 from the No. 3 spot in 2017. Nugget Markets, a full-line grocery store in Northern California, was ranked seventh. The ranking is based on anonymous surveys representing over 631,000 employees from Great Place to Work-Certified companies in the retail industry. 
This is the third consecutive year that Wegmans has claimed the top spot on this list.
