Schnuck Markets Inc. now offers customers the option of curbside pickup at four St. Louis-area stores, with plans to expand to four additional stores in January 2019. Future plans will see curbside pickup added throughout the St. Louis area, including the metro east, as well as other geographic areas served by Schnucks.
With curbside pickup, Schnucks customers order groceries online, and at a time chosen by the customer, the items are delivered to the customer’s vehicle in the store parking lot. Schnucks is the first traditional grocer to offer the service in the St. Louis area. It is an expansion of Schnucks Delivers, the company’s delivery partnership with Instacart.
“We know our customers lead busy lives, and curbside pickup allows them to easily shop online for groceries and pick them up at a time that’s convenient to them, whether that’s around their daily work commute, while transporting kids to or from school, or while running other errands,” said Schnucks Vice President of Marketing Ted Schnuck. “This is another way for Schnucks to continue to meet the changing needs of our customers and their families, by delivering to their home, office, and now, to their car.”
Schnucks first partnered with Instacart to launch Schnucks Delivers in the St. Louis area in February 2017. Home and office delivery service is now offered in all geographical areas served by Schnucks.
