Thanks to the contribution of five Red River Valley potato shippers, Haun Potato Co. for thee 35th consecutive year will be boosting the spirits thousands of needy families in Kansas City.

Spud and David Haun.David Haun, the president of the Kansas City-area potato distributorship, joins other area food companies in contributing food to The Salvation Army.

The shippers contributing potatoes through Haun are A&L Potato Co., E. Grand Forks, MN; Associated Potato Growers, Grand Forks, ND; J.G. Hall & Sons, Edinburg, ND; Nokota Packers, Buxton, ND and O.C. Schultz, Crystal, ND.

Spud Haun, the founder of this charity, passed away in June 2016. But David Haun has kept the effort alive, and plans to continue it for coming Christmas seasons, even after he closes Haun Potato at the end of this year.
