Albert’s Fresh Produce has teamed up with the USA Pear Association to promote pears with two Albert’s pear-a-palooza contests.
"Our pear-a-palooza contests aim to bring attention to the abundance of pears in the marketplace by working with the USA Pear Association to provide support materials like POS signs, recipes and training," the company said.
Winners for the first contest included Imperfect Produce from San Antonio, TX; Northbound Organics from Minneapolis; Ever'mans Market from Pensacola, FL; and Greens Natural Market from Mt Kisco, NY.
Albert’s second pear-a-palooza contest runs Dec. 30 through Jan. 26 and is open to all Albert’s customers. There are two ways to win, either by largest increase in sales, year over year, or by creating the best pear display using POS materials provided by the USA Pear Association. Cash prizes are awarded in each category: first place wins $500 and second place wins $250.
Since 1982 Albert’s has delivered an extensive variety of fresh and organic produce and food options nationwide.
