Brian Truax has been promoted to director of business development, effective Oct. 5. He has been with Indianapolis Fruit for more than a year and in the food business for more than five. Truax’s deep knowledge of the retail business landscape and go to market strategies has allowed him to be a catalyst for growth at Indianapolis Fruit. Truax’s success in Ohio, Kentucky, and surrounding markets has created a platform for the business development team to continue expansion into target markets such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.
Matt Corsaro has been promoted to vice president of operations, effective Sept. 21. Corsaro has been with Indianapolis Fruit and sister companies for nine years. He has experience working across all customer segments and within multiple distribution facilities. Corsaro will be responsible for warehouse operations, outbound transportation, and operational strategy. His passion for servicing customers at the highest level through execution and technology are pacing his approach to his new role.
Wendy O’Brien is joining the company as director of sales and marketing, effective Sept. 28. She will be responsible for day to day execution of customer service, account management, and sales operations. O'Brien’s experience, most recently with UNFI, and across multiple other areas of the industry will allow her to effectively enhance product offerings, service levels, and approach to meeting customer demand.
Ross Nelson will be joining as director of retail execution, effective Sept. 21. Most recently as director procurement produce and floral for Lucky’s Market, Nelson built numerous programs growing revenue, increasing gross margins, and meeting consumer demand in multiple geographies across 39 store locations. Initially Nelson will be focused on adding value through the vendor network and supply chain while enhancing retail services. Daily, Nelson will work alongside Vice President Sales and Marketing Daniel Corsaro and Vice President Customer and Vendor Relations John Cunningham.
