The Fresh Produce & Floral Council expo committee has confirmed that former NFL wide receiver Hines Ward will be the keynote speaker at The FPFC Expo, July 16 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA.
After a record-setting career at the University of Georgia, Ward was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played for 13 seasons, setting franchise records for receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He was named MVP of Super Bowl XL after running a 43-yard touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks.
No sooner had he left the NFL than he won another championship: the coveted mirror ball trophy on Dancing with the Stars Season 12.
Ward will headline The FPFC Expo Keynote Awards Breakfast, which also features the presentation of the FPFC Floral Achievement Award and the Norman H. (Buz) Bolstad Produce Award.
