With the launch of H-E-B's big game commercial, the retailer will roll out a sweepstakes that gives participants who download the new My H-E-B app an opportunity to play a fun mobile game for a random chance to win the Texas-sized grand prize.
Starring actress Eva Longoria, this year’s 60-second spot features the Texas native playfully crashing a big game party filled with several H-E-B products to tell partygoers about the new My H-E-B mobile app and the exciting sweepstakes.
To enter the sweepstakes, participants must download the My H-E-B mobile app, which is available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play, create or log in to their existing H-E-B account, and play the game in the app. The game will ask registered users to choose 10 H-E-B products that were featured in the commercial. Once 10 items are correctly picked, the user will click submit to automatically be entered for a chance to win.
The sweepstakes kicks off when the commercial airs in the break between the game’s third and fourth quarters in more than a dozen key Texas markets. Participants can start playing the game when the commercial runs on Feb. 2, and people have until 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 16 to play. The winner will be notified via the email used for their H-E-B account.
“At H-E-B, we’re always looking for ways to go big and show our appreciation for our amazing customers,” said Cory Basso, H-E-B group vice president of marketing and advertising. “On TV’s biggest stage, we’re not only introducing Texans to our innovative new My H-E-B mobile app, we’re extending the opportunity to win a prize of a lifetime.”
Launched in December, the My H-E-B app brings dozens of new and improved features that make it more convenient and simpler to shop both in store and online while providing more ways to save. In a single, easy-to-use mobile app, customers can now create shopping lists as well as place orders for H-E-B curbside pickup or home delivery. Additionally, the in-store shopper can clip and redeem coupons, find where items are located, and browse the store with an enhanced search function.
This is one of many innovative technologies H-E-B uses to enhance its digital services to better meet the evolving needs and expectations of its customers who shop online and in H-E-B’s world-class brick-and-mortar stores.
Texans can also spot H-E-B in Favor Delivery’s big game commercial debut. Dubbed “The Beer is Not Here,” Favor’s first-ever big game commercial is part of its Match Made in Texas™ campaign that celebrates H-E-B and Favor’s partnership, including Favor’s offering of free delivery of beer and wine from H-E-B.
