Fresh Express is putting a new twist on salad with the launch of four delicious and unique new Chopped Kit flavors, including Twisted Caesar varieties and Thai ‘N’ Cashews. The company's restaurant menu-inspired recipes have quickly become a consumer favorite and contributed to the overall segment’s consistent annual growth.     

“Our newest Chopped Salad Kits were inspired by popular restaurant menu offerings and trending flavors, as well as a healthy dose of creativity,” said Fabian Pereira, vice president of marketing and innovation at Fresh Express. “The talented chefs at the Fresh Express Innovation Center put new twists on the classic Caesar salad and added unexpected ingredients to the Asian Thai salad to bring an exciting, flavorful chef inspired experience to consumers, and more variety in a fast-growing segment.”

Fresh Express Chopped Salad Kits have seen tremendous growth in recent years and are up more than 57 percent since last year. The new recipes will further support the brand’s commitment to providing delicious salad based meal solutions that can easily be made at home.

Infused with international and trending flavors and ingredients, like Thai spiced wonton strips, avocado and dried pineapple, the new Chopped Salad Kits offer familiar favorites with unexpected, mouth-watering twists.

New Fresh Express Twisted Caesar Chopped Salad Kits are available in three flavorful varieties, each a twist on a classic Caesar salad.

• Twisted Asian Caesar: Crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy wonton strips, sesame seeds and dried pineapple come together in this sweet and savory salad, topped with Asian Caesar dressing and grated parmesan cheese.
• Twisted Avocado Caesar: Yellow and blue tortilla strips add crunch to this blend of romaine lettuce, juicy corn kernels, grated parmesan cheese and Avocado Caesar dressing.
• Twisted Greek Caesar: Herb flatbread strips, crumbled feta cheese and Greek Caesar dressing atop romaine lettuce result in a light, yet flavorful salad.  

“The new Thai ‘N’ Cashews Chopped Kit is inspired by the complex flavors of Southeast Asia and packed with unique ingredients consumers will love,” said Michael Golderman, marketing brand leader at Fresh Express. It is a crunchy mix of green and red cabbage, romaine lettuce, carrots, green onions, Thai spiced wonton strips, roasted cashews and toasted coconut flakes, completed with creamy Thai dressing.

Fresh Express Twisted Caesar and Thai ‘N’ Cashews Chopped Kits will be available in the refrigerated produce department at retailers nationwide starting Oct. 5.
