Allegiance Retail Services LLC has announced the grand opening of the Foodtown of Morningside Heights, on March 29. The store is located at 1316 Amsterdam Ave. in Manhattan, and is owned and operated by Gabriel Estevez.
The newly renovated supermarket will offer an enhanced selection of fresh produce and quality meats, expanded deli and bakery departments and local favorite items to meet the community's needs.
In addition to the Foodtown private-label merchandise, the store will feature the Green Way private label line, which offers natural-organic quality alternatives at prices lower than the national brands, according to Allegiance.
"It is exciting for us to celebrate the grand opening of another Foodtown in New York. We are proud to work with Gabriel Estevez as we service the Morningside Heights community with a Foodtown supermarket," said John T. Derderian, president and chief operating officer of Allegiance.
"I would like to congratulate Gabriel Estevez on the opening of the Morningside Heights Foodtown, and we look forward to the success of the store," added David Maniaci, chairman and chief executive officer of Allegiance.
